***UPDATE*** CLASS CANCELLED DUE TO FIRE *** WILL RESCHEDULE *********

Hi Ladies,

I am so sorry to have to email you this news. The Style and Design Class has been canceled due to a fire that started at Aztec Events and Tents this morning at 5am. Thankfully and most importantly, no one was injured and the fire was mostly contained by the sprinkler system and the HFD. The room where the class would have been held has water damage and soot from the fire.

Aztec is a resilient company and will continue business as usual from their other showroom and out of a temporary office nearby the showroom.

We spent half the day yesterday preparing for the class and setting up the room....it looked amazing!! We have had such a strong response to this class and sold out of all our spots. We will reschedule as soon as Aztec can assess their showroom damage. We appreciate your enthusiasm about the class and promise to deliver a fabulous Style and Design Class soon!All of those who were confirmed for this class will have a seat reserved for the rescheduled class. If you've ever had the chance to meet with me, you know that I'm a member at TwoBeWed. It's where I keep samples of my albums and have a wall of gallery canvas prints for you to go in and see anytime. I like it because it's a way for you to see finished products and samples of weddings I've shot from beginning to end. It's also where I meet with couples for consultations. a baby, a bridal show, and a wedding

This post is gonna be a big one. I know it's been a long time since I've posted so I'm gonna share with you several things. First of all, I'd like to introduce to you my daughter! My beautiful baby, Madeline, was born on July 19. She is, by far, the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life and I thank God everyday for such a precious blessing. Of course I already have hundreds of pictures of her and it hasn't even been two weeks since she was born! In her pictorial debut on my blog, here's my sweetheart!

Next I'd like to thank everyone that stopped by my booth at the Bridal Extravaganza. I couldn't be there to meet everyone and answer any extra questions. I just wanted to post a reminder that you have until August 15th to take advantage of my specials that I offer only for the show.

And finally....Meredith and Bryan! These two had a really fun and beautiful wedding at the Alden Hotel in downtown Houston. It was really hard to narrow down favorites for the blog, because the whole wedding was just awesome. I really loved working with Meredith and Bryan and after their wedding was over I said to myself, I'm gonna miss them. They must have read my mind because when they got back from their honeymoon in London and Paris, they emailed me with some pictures they took! It made my day :) Then about a week ago, Bryan emailed me to let me know that he and Meredith would be featured on Channel 11 KHOU. KHOU has a "Saving Cents" feature and they were interviewed for "Trimming Wedding Costs." I highly recommend everyone watch this video. Margaret she is absolutely beautiful!!! I've been checking the blog for a pic of her, CONGRATULATIONS!! You are a truly gifted photographer. Our wedding as so perfect and you were such a wonderful person to have with us in the day. I like the rotating pictures at the top of the page... Nice photos, cute couples. The ones of meredith and bryan look too posed for my taste. But the ones at the top look cute, you can really see the feelings and chemistry between the couples.

Beth + Matt = simple and sweet :)

Beth and Matt's wedding was a total reflection of them as a couple, simple and sweet :) It was an afternoon just the way they wanted it - good friends, great family, and unforgettable times. I think my favorite part of the day is when Matt and all of his friends reenacted the scene from Top Gun where they sang "You've Lost that Loving Feeling." Trust me, there was no love lost on this day. Anyone present felt the love in that room as everyone sang, laughed, and wished Matt and Beth all the happiness in the world. Enjoy!

i like to steal wedding rings :)

One thing that I do at every wedding is take my couple's wedding rings from them while they're eating. I always ask first and so far no one has said no to me. Not only do they trust me to capture their day, but they also trust me with their bling! I use the time to take pictures of their wedding rings with whatever cool details I find during their reception. From personalized menus, to monogrammed stickers, to beautiful blooms in their centerpieces, to cool architecture. Tonight I was playing with a new toy for my camera to make my detail shots even better! I used my own engagement ring as my subject and some stuff in my living room. What do you think? I think they turned out kinda pretty and I can't wait to steal more wedding rings to achieve these shots! Enjoy!

Totally random post about eggs

Okay I know this is soooo not wedding related, but I just have to know if anyone has seen eggs like this. Everyone in my family act like this is a normal thing. They say they've seen this before. My husband was cooking some eggs one morning and there were 2 yolks in the egg. It totally wierded me out. And yes, those are foil covered pans under the burners. Call me a fob, but I hate having to clean all the food that falls on the stove and I found these foil covers at the local Asian market that fit perfectly! Lol! So...have you seen eggs like this before?

No, this is unique! I have never seen two yolks like that before! I friend of mine did though and she thought it was really weird too, she took a pic and sent it to me!

my mom says if u find two yolks in a egg it means ur having twins i dunno maybe its a viet/chinese thing but thats what she says. btw my mom uses foil too!
