February 3, 2010 // bridals
Katie was a stunning bride. She married the love of her life, Cody, last month. A few weeks before the wedding, we met up at The Alden hotel for her bridal portraits. It was very cold outside, but Katie didn't mind braving the cold on the streets of downtown Houston. I love the details in her gown and I love that she had two veils for her wedding!

Now don't go thinking that because this is my second post of the night that I won't include another picture of my baby girl! Isn't she a cutie! This picture makes me want to pick her up and squeeze her! By the way, this image was taken using my new little lightscoop. It's this attachment for your pop-up flash (which the D700 has) that kinda redirects the harsh light.

If my blog were a real person, I'd tell her (yes, blog is a she) I was sorry for not posting all these weddings and portrait sessions that have been sitting on my computer since October. Sorry loveleephotoblog!

Let me start my blog catch up with Kristine and Matt's wedding. They were married in October out in Richmond. What I absolutely loved about this wedding were the details, details, details! I remember that it rained that day and Kristine was so worried that it would pour. The rain never got too bad, but let me tell you, it cold have been a massive hail storm. Kristine and Matt were so happy! Nothing would ruin their day. I'll never forget when I first met Kristine. She talked about all the details she had been planning and she talked about a bag pipe player that she set up as a surprise for Matt. Since he's of Scottish decent, she wanted it to be a surprise for Matt before she walked down the aisle. His expression when the pipes started playing is priceless! The fact that it was kept a secret from him for almost a year is amazing!

Before the ceremony, Kristine and Matt opted for a first look. I love these. I think they're so special because it's such a wonderful moment between two people who are about to promise the rest of their lives together. Once we got the first look out of the way, the rest of the day was outstanding!

Enjoy!

I have nearly a thousand new pictures of Maddy. I couldn't pick just one to post today. Here are some that made me laugh. She's turning out to be quite a character. I can hear in my head what she's trying to say in some of these!

Meet Diana and Ernie. We met up on MLK Day for some engagement pictures in the downtown area. We got off to a late start because of the parade, but it's alright because we actually ended up spending a couple hours together. We were just having too much fun! As I was shooting, I kept thinking, "Man Diana sure does have a serious case of the giggles!" But then I realized it was Ernie! He makes her laugh, he makes her smile, he makes her eyes dance when he looks at her. They're getting married next month at The Alden Hotel, one of my favorite places to shoot! Did I mention that Diana works for the girl scouts? Man I sure hope she has those cookies...ehem Tagalongs...at the wedding!

My baby girl is either gonna have expensive taste that mommy cannot afford, OR she just likes the lights! Here she is with grandma at the Galleria.

I met Charlie last year when her fabulous wedding coordinator, Sabrina Patrick of Chic Soiree, recommended me as a possible photographer for her wedding. That Sabrina really knows what she's doing because Charlie and I totally clicked when we met. Charlie is a no fuss kinda girl who knows exactly what she wants. I met up with her, her fiance Devin, and their cute schnauzer, Sweet Pea, for a fun and romantic engagement session in downtown earlier this week. Devin looked sharp and Charlie looked exceptional! Her hair and makeup by Blush and Glow was flawless. You know what I love about this couple? Everything they did just came naturally. From the kissing, to the cuddling and the laughing, it's almost as if I wasn't even there. Shoot, it's almost as if I needed to go away so I could give them some alone time! LOL! Well here are some of my favorites from their session. I can't wait to shoot their wedding at The House of Blues this summer!

And a happy half-birthday to my baby girl! She turned 6 months yesterday. For her half-birthday she had her shots. But I'm so proud of her! She only cried for a few seconds and then was back to her happy self. Here she is at grandma's house in her jumper.

January 18, 2010 // weddings
Back in July, a super sweet girl named Katie contacted me about shooting her wedding. It was about the time Madeline was born, so I wasn't able to meet with her. My husband, Edmond, was helping me out and met up with her at the TwoBeWed studio. I was nervous about not being at the meeting, but Katie had been checking out my website and my blog and booked me! (Go Edmond!) We finally met in person two weeks before her wedding to shoot her bridals. When we met, I knew it was meant to be:) Well she got married this past weekend to her love, Cody, who is as equally cool and sweet as she is! The wedding was fantastic...seriously I didn't want it to end! Here's a sneak peak of their day.
